Please shut up...

Richard Quest really needs to STFU.  You probably don't know him but he is the British Aviation Analyst that is a CNN reporter...and he is on whenever there is a plane crash.  Now I'm not saying he is a bad guy.  But it really annoys the hell out of me how whenever he speaks about the missing Malaysian Airliner flight 370, he goes into an orgasmic frenzy.  This morning he was on TV promoting his new book and talking about it, and he was so freaking exuberant that I thought they were going to need to restrain him.

Now I asked myself...how can anyone be so energetic and enthusiastic and jubilant when reporting on an incident in which 239 people died tragically?  What is going on here?  Even the other correspondents were noticeably uncomfortable.  So I did a quick search on our friend Mr. Quest and I came across an interesting news article from 2008:

"A TOP TV reporter has been caught in a park with drugs and a sex toy. Briton Richard Quest also had a rope tied around his privates when he was arrested in New York's Central Park. Quest, 46, is one of US news channel CNN's most high-profile faces.  He was arrested after being found in New York's Central Park at 3.40am with another man.  Quest, who presents a show named after him, told police: "I've got some meth in my pocket." They found he had the stimulant methamphetamine in his jacket and a sex toy in his shoe.  A rope was looped around his neck and privates under his clothes."

Oh Boy.  That seems to explain a lot.  Something tells me that in the not so distant future Mr. Quest will be in the news again...and I don't mean as a reporter.  I mean as the subject of it...
