The S&P 500 Consumer Discretionary Sector is testing well-defined resistance. You can see here that the $82 level was the top of the range from last October through early December. Now it has been the top of a very tight trading range since July 11th. Yesterdays close was $81.42. A butterfly or straddle may be something to consider here because it is unlikely that it will stay in this tight of a range for too much longer.
